(adj) To break technical jargon down to the end-users' level. ("Is the black cable with the silver connector attached to the little round port on your laptop? Try going to the other laptop ... no, the one that works, and try googlingpurple.com?", versus "have you verified power and network connectivity?")

Could also be applied to legal, medical, financial or any other industry-specific language likely to confuse a layperson.
