This word is the combination of mistakenly understood German syntax and a term in the computer industry used to describe something that is really messed up or broken (hosed). In German, 'ver' can be added to some words to describe an extreme of a state. For example, trinken ( to drink) and vertrunken ( to drown ). Hence, 'ver' was mistakenly added to hosed and created verhosen to describe something that is broken or messed up to an extreme.
