Days off from school because of virus pandemic precautions. You are expected to learn-from-home but in reality a Virus Day is just like a Snow Day except you stay inside the house and don't go outside to play.

today is the one day a year that it’s absolutely needed for you to get a computer virus on your computer
November 19 is National Computer virus day! it’s my favorite day because I get an excuse to put horrible virus on my computer and I can’t get in trouble with my mom!

A simple and minor issue that is blown way out of porportion by the media when there is nothing else to report. The public becomes deathly worried about something that is no more dangerous than the common flu.
ie. SARS, Bird Flu, Mad Cow, Killer Bees, etc.
