俚语 blando
释义

Blando

n. and adj.

plural: blan-dos

Derogatory term (except sometimes when used defensively by blandos themselves) applied to a performance music member, staffperson or other profiteer more interested in hype, marketing and supporting a political network than in music and genuine performance genres.

Original form was "bando", in order to distinguish those of mediocre intentions from genuine band and performance members and supporters. Similarities to the word "bland" are intentional, reflecting this impression of mediocrity, i.e., less than what could be as evidenced by hype and politics. Most usually related and applied to highly competitive marching band circuits and Drum Corps International (DCI).
"The best marching bands at the show didn't win, because the blandos were judging and put the blando school first." (both noun and adjective forms)

Blando Calrissian

Any one of the majority of people in the world that have no distinguishing characteristics or traits that make them interesting or compelling. Most Blando Calrissians have little to no life ambition outside of a dull, steady job, do not understand most forms of humor apart from The Blue Collar Comedy Tour, Dane Cook, or that guy with the fucking puppets, and do not enjoy thinking about anything characterized as “deep.” A common test to identify Blando Calrissians consists of the query, “What kind of music do you like?” to which they respond, “Oh, I like everything.” They often express and/or act upon the urge to “get married and have kids” around 23 years of age. May also be referred to as “Blandos.”
Friend 1: How was Joe’s party last weekend?

Friend 2: Eh, pretty lame. Most of his friends are Blando Calrissians, so they just sat around talking about their favorite movies, like Anchorman and 28 Weeks Later. I tried to chat up one cute girl, but when I found out she wanted to be a dental hygienist and loved Nicholas Sparks novels, I totally bailed.

Marlon Blando

Bland or Boring. Can be used to describe mediocre or under-seasoned food, boring people, places or things.
Tom and Jenny liked the restuarant, but I thought the food was a little Marlon Blando -or- Jenny's boyfriend is really cute, but he's kind of Marlon Blando to talk to...

Pepto-Blando

This stereotype is just average. The best comparison is in the Lego Movie where they go inside Emmet's mind and Wildstyle says something like "There is nothing in here!" And that is the same for Pepto-Blando. They pay attention so well in class because there is just nothing shooting in the back of their mind. They rarely have any original thoughts, whatever they say just feels empty "Follow your dreams!" "Your beautiful just the way you are!" And they just believe everything any teacher says pretty much. They require a hive mind of average people just to think properly, a sensory comparison would be eating plain flour, flour is used in cookies which are interesting. But flour is plain and boring, not to mention bland.
All the pepto-blandos in class litterally drool on the floor during the lesson. Are they literally so smart because of how braindead they are? This teacher is not interesting in the slightest.
