Almost every teenager in the Western NY area has worked at Wegmans at some point in their life and every time you shop there it's like a high school reunion.

Today there are 70 stores in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia and Maryland, and Wegman and his company continue to receive accolades. On March 25, 2004 in Philadelphia, Junior Achievement honored Wegman as one of six 2004 laureates to their National Business Hall of Fame, which recognizes “the nation’s most distinguished businessmen and women for their outstanding contributions to free enterprise and the promise of a better, stronger society.” He joined George Eastman and Joseph Wilson, the only other Rochester business people to have received this honor.
