When a person in a group of people smoking weed, is extremely aware of the joint being passed around. He/she will be scared that the zoot might not make it back to them for another toke or that the person smoking it might drop it. A zoot-conscious individual will go as far as reaching his/her arm out to take the zoot without being offered it or even being the next in line.
