boomcrop
A selfie style photograph in which the photographer frames the shot as if the second subject were were to be in it, however at the last second, partially cropping out the secondary subject. Although the shot presents itself as narcissistic, it's true origins are found in revenge. The revenge value the boom crop increases the more the cropped subject "wants in” to the photograph.
So I was out to lunch with Ethel and her friend and she posted an Instagram selfie of themselves without me in the shot, but I saw the post right after it happened. So then I took a selfie with her and left half off her out of the shot and was like " Boom! You got cropped”. I’m totally posting this boomcrop right now.
