boo-tuzzi
The heckle directed at a Vancouver Canuck NHL hockey player, Todd Bertuzzi; subsequently, whenever he is on the ice in away arenas. The derogatory rankling is aimed at offsetting his game and concentration. Boo-tuzzi - was coined by popular media commentor Jim Hughson during one of these games. It stems from an incident when Todd injured, the then Colorado Avalanche player, Steve Moore in retaliation for an attack on the Canuck's captain. This unique form of booing is more prominent in cities known to have animosity with Vancouver, i.e. every other NHL team in the league.
(At an NHL game and Todd is on the ice) BOO-tuzzi, BOO-tuzzi!
