Brazilbilly
A native backwoods hick from Brazil, Indiana. Typical males have large trucks...as they are a club, are filthy, uneducated, enjoy drinking and guns (at the same time). Usually talk with a mumble, want to be from the south...but have never traveled farther than the eel river (as this is a natural boundary to divide most from Brazil and Clay City). Female Brazilbillies long to settle for less than average. Have the same traits as the males, and raise their children on Mountain Dew and Eddie burgers. Group events include sitting in parking lots and loutering....and enjoying the annual Rotory 4th of July carnival festivities.
If your taking Hwy 40 west, watch out for a Brazilbilly....they'll make those Hautians look brilliant.
Brazilbilly
Brazilbilly delivers “traditional country music with a Latin flair” in Nashville, Tennessee at Robert’s Western World. If you love the songs of Marty Robbins, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Sr. & music inspired by those artists, Brazilbilly is your band. Frontman Jesse Lee Jones began playing Lower Broadway in the spring of 1995 after leaving his native Brazil 10 years earlier. He was offered a job performing at Robert’s. He was dubbed “the Brazilian Hillbilly” and that name quickly morphed into the band’s name – Brazilbilly. The band has played many other venues & events, including a performance in downtown for Vice President Al Gore on Election Night 2000. They have toured Europe, hosted the live radio broadcast of “The Midnight Jamboree” from the Ernest Tubb’s Texas Troubador Theater, played the Grand Ole Opry Plaza, opened for major country music acts, & played many special events, parties, and benefits in Nashville. Brazilbilly was founded on the ideal of traditional country music. Their sound, while traditional and country, is complemented by a Latin flair unique to the Nashville scene. Each band member is diversely talented, professional, and musically educated. This range of cultural backgrounds and musical experience makes Brazilbilly like no other band, embracing a style that is uniquely their own.
They also play occasionally in Bertram, Texas at the historic Globe Theater.
