acrosst
The dumb and incorrect way of saying "across" that many teachers use. It is infuriating every time you hear it.

Me in my head: "It's 'across' goddammit!"

acrosst
A variation of the common word "across" which often occurs when said in a Seattle (or other fast-paced) accent. Typically comes before such words as "street" or "store" in which the st- syllable is blurred into the word "across" because of the speed at which most native Seattleites speak.
"So we ran right acrosst the street and almost got hit! It was awesome!"
