Adopteesplaining
Adopteesplaining is when people other than adoptees try to speak for adoptees as if they know what they are thinking, feeling, etc. Many adoptive parents seem to think they are the experts on the adopted experience, when the real experts are the adopted persons themselves. Only the people disconnected from their biological families and given falsified birth certificates can truly describe this experience correctly.
Adopteesplaining is often used by adoptoraptors who adopted a child to fulfill their own selfish needs and desires.

“Five year old Mary has been in foster care for 9 months and is so excited to be adopted by her foster family.” said the adoption agency worker. Mary did not speak for herself. Adopteesplaining was used to project feelings and thoughts about Mary and for Mary.
