Chimacy
A heightened form of jealousy. Jealousy often accompanied by some level of rage and/or acting out in some fashion as a result of the jealousy. Adjective. Pronunciation: Chim-ah-see.
History/Derivation: Originated in late 1970's/early 1980's with the McDonald's characters Grimace and Uncle O' Grimacy. Shortened thereafter to Grimacy and eventually evolved to Chimacy. Other lesser-used derivations include Lalimacy, Charimacy, Chi-macy and the earlier Grimacy. Originated in West Bloomfield, Michigan and now used also in parts of NY, SC, NC and elsewhere. Widely acknowledged by Hooters Girls in the North Myrtle Beach area. Seen on a vanity plate in Michigan.
