A chomu may appear as one without much intellect. They may also have their hair parted in the side or the middle with the aid of parachute hairoil. They may also tuck their shirts into their shorts.

However there are some chomus that are disguised as normal people but their intellectual functions are reduced to your everyday chomu.

Chomu does not mean a person “An intellectually challenged individual” or Ch***ya . It came from Hindi word चौमुंह=चौ+मुंह. चौ means Four and मुंह means Face or Mouth. So चौमुंह means Surrounding from all directions or faces.

There is a fortified Palace of Chomugadh(चौमुंगढ़) around 30 km North to Jaipur City. The Palace is surrounded by thick walls to ward off enemies. And thus name “Chomu” came into existence from “Chomugadh”. This is the whole story. And people misinterpreted this name as derogatory remark.
