Clint Catalyst
has a Wiki page long enough to make even lit geeks "tl; dr" that shit.
Elder (though not the eldest) of the scene royalty or scene kings. Visually known for his anti-scene take on the whole dapper thing which actually made him a scene king by breaking the sceneotype: wears lots of mini-top hats or over sized top hats with make-up. A bit gender fluid. Also definitely an L.A. socialite though is actually a fop as far as socioeconomic status. Sometimes he's hired as a scene royalty host for parties, is rumored to get paid just to show up places for his name to be on the ads so he'll draw in "that" crowd. While lots of scene kids claim to be models and are actually just 5'2" girls with rich parents (see Hanna Beth ), Clint has modeled for the covers of books, magazines, editorial spreads for Diesel, etc. He's had two books published, which makes him a minor celeb of sorts -- I guess. Either that or the "acting" crap on his imdb page.
Pro: Doesn't boast about modeling...in fact, makes fun of it. Unlike hanna beth, he actually accomplishes things: movie roles, published books, etc. Seems to have had relations (or relationships?) with nearly every cewebrity from coast to coast: Jeffree Star, Chris Crocker, Audrey Kitching, Cory Kennedy, Kaiden Blake...list goes on, but anything that might have gone wrong or caused "falling outs" is not spoken about in interviews or on-line comments. (Example: stupid "comment war" between Hanna Beth and Jeffree Star on Buzznet.) Another pro: actually has somewhat of a brain, and somehow makes it into regular discussions of scenesters on the Live Journal snark community efagz without having a million friends on buzznet and my space.
Major pro or con, depending on who's the judge: is often photographed with Audrey Kitching, both modeling and at pretentious parties (shit covered on WireImage, Getty, Splash News, Corbis).
His whole dapper/fop look seems to get him sponsored by companies into that type of foofy thing. Audrey Kitching has now joined him on the mini-hat bandwagon, so we'll all be subjected to them whether or not we want to be.
Also: has hair extensions like some scene girl. Caused a lot of losers to get butthurt when he joined a hategroup about him on LJ.

Fangirl: Check out the guy in make-up and a suit by the stage. Total Clint Catalyst rip off.
Scenegirl: Whatevs. Like Clint Catalyst would even GO to a show. I overheard him bitching about how he has no desire to 'sweat and rub bodies with crimped-hair kids.' Can you believe that prick?
Fangirl: Yeah, I can. I love him.
Scenegirl: I don't even know who you are right now...

Clint Catalyst
Dandy, Fop, E-Celebrity, Scene King, these idle labels are thrown clumsily at every new internet based he-she who stumbles gracelessly onto our little viewing windows.
Clint Catalyst however transcends these stereotypes we've come to despise by having one thing on his side; some actual talent and charisma for a change.
Crawling out of the southern states he achieved initial fame through the publication of his much reverred collection of short stories "Cottonmouth Kisses".
Already on its second printing, it showcased a voice, wit and style that would eventually lure Catalyst through a veritable spectrum of creative partnerships including his co-eddited collection of short stories with Michelle Tea (Pills, Thrills, Chills and Heartache) acting, television work, modelling, music videos, hosting, styling, script writing ...
Put frankly, if you're going to be listening to the eccentric rantings of a self made celebrity, then you may as well be listening to Clint Catalyst... if only for the good grammar.

Scene Kid: Oh look over there, is that... Clint Catalyst?
Chum: Nah, it can't be, he doesn't look smug enough. And the hats far too small.
