conversational accent
When speaking to someone who doesn't understand very much English, speaking with an accent corresponding to that of the other person's is speaking with a conversational accent, an attempt to help them understand.
Dave: Hey, why is Eric talking with a Chinese accent?
Sam: Oh, his grandma isn't very good at English I think...
Dave: Geez, he's got a pretty good conversational accent.
