Countershade or Countershading:
1) To knowingly lie or make false statements or to camoflauge the truth only for the sole purpose of self-benefit. Self-
enrichment.

In the natural world (animals) countershading, also known as Thayer's Law is a natural method of camouflage in which an animal's coloration is darker on the upper side and lighter on the underside of the body.
