Creeper Effect
The Creeper Effect is when a sound cue, typically of a video game, activates anxiety or other unpleasant emotions. Common examples show this as a sound associated with something that's scary when you first experience the associated encounter, and rapidly becomes less threatening. The namesake is derived from Minecraft's creeper.
