The AIM-120 Advanced Medium Range Air-to Air Missile (AMRAAM) is an american-made Beyond Visual Range (BVR) Active Radar Missile developed by Hughes (Hughes was acquired by Raytheon in 1997) and currently produced by Raytheon. The AIM-120D variant has an effective range of 160km and a maximum speed of Mach 4 (3,000mph; 4,900km/h)
