death swipe
A term for the act of indiscriminately swiping right in a dating app, usually out of desperation or laziness, that may result in a large amount of matches with bots and people outside of the users preferences.
“You need to stop death swiping, you’ll never catch a good guy that way.”
“My date didn’t even recognize me when I got there. No doubt because he’s a death swiper, messaging anyone who responds.”
“I’m tired of putting so much effort into my profile and pickup lines for no response, I’m just going to death swipe until someone starts a conversation from something in my bio.”
“She was stalked because she had been death swiping.”
“Despite having a full inbox, the death swipe didn’t help him get a date.”
