Instead of complaining to my spouse for half an hour about my day, I say the word "delarant" and she/he instantly knows that I am angry about circumstances beyond my control, without burdening her/him with the details or wasting either of our time on a futile discussion.

The origins of the word comes from a literal combination and subsequent shortening of the phrase "delete a rant". The word is intended to be used to save time by eliminating unnecessary rants.
