UK and Commonwealth musicians' jargon for a stand partner. Two players in an orchestra or other large ensemble who share a single music stand (also called a music desk in British English) and play from the same part are called deskies or desk partners or stand partners.
Always bring your own pencil to rehearsal. Don't count on your deskie having one.
