DESTOROY
DESTOROY /dɪˈstʌrɔɪ/ or /dɪˈstɔrɔɪ/ v.
1. to obliterate utterly and completely, without leaving a trace
2. to dispose of something efficiently
3. to commit a superplay
Comes from CAVE's famous shmup series DoDonPachi's first game DonPachi, which was released in 1995 for arcades and is considered the father of danmaku video game genre. The game, amongst other things, is famous for having a noticeable amount of text in Engrish (a staple of CAVE) as well as a rather enthusiastic announcer. A particularly egregious example of Engrish is the game's boss warning, which reads as following: "WARNING! THIS IS NOT SIMULATION. GET READY TO DESTOROY THE ENEMY. TARGET FOR THE WEAK POINTS OF F**KIN' MACHINE.DO YOUR BEST YOU HAVE EVER DONE."
NB: Use with caps lock on or people would consider it just a typo.
