Drag Rat

A homeless person that creeps Guadeloupe St. or "the Drag" at the University of Texas. Usually they ask for money to buy alcohol or drugs and if you do not obligee, they will chase you into a store, threaten you or say something witty like thanks a lot asshole. Also, most of them have pets and they travel in packs. Ironically, the "normal" homeless people are scared of them.
Drag Rat-"Ma'am, can you please spare some change, I need some booze?!"
Student-"Sorry, I am a poor college student."
Drag Rat-"Don't be sorry, you douche bag."

Drag rats

A slur for homeless people in Austin, Texas who spend time on Guadalupe Street between 21st and 29th Street, colloquially known as "The Drag". Used mainly by college kids and people on the wealthier side to emotionally justify cruelty towards those already experiencing terrible hardship.
"Ugh, look at those disgusting drag rats begging for food. I wouldn't even piss on one of them if they caught fire."

"I hate drag rats so much, they smell terrible and are sometimes rude. I don't understand why the cops let them stay here."
