To change clothes, as in for physical activity. Most commonly used in physical education classes regarding putting on one's gym suit.
Students are expected to dress out for class and participate each day in class unless otherwise directed by their Instructor or by Doctor's note.

Dress out

Is to change from jail clothing to the clothing you went to jail in.
You must dress out to leave jail.

Dressed Out

The specific kind of stress associated with trying on, or shopping for, clothes. Can also refer to the consequence of this stress, often a complete disinterest in clothes.
Ex. I just saw myself in the dressing room mirror and now I'm dressed out.

Ex. What do I even wear to this party? I'm so dressed out.
