The inability to leave one's car after arriving at the destination because of the riveting nature of a story you're listening to on the radio; especially on NPR

noun: a term used to describe when an NPR listener arrives to their destination in a vehicle and turns off the engine and puts their hand on the radio but doesn't turn it off or get out of the car because they want to listen to the end of what is currently playing on their NPR station.
