drugsmith
One who crafts synthetic drugs or breeds grown drugs. Such as a blacksmith works to create armor and weapons, a drugsmith works to create drugs. A drugsmith can refer to one who works professionally to create prescription as well as over-the-counter drugs, or it can refer to one who creates recreational drugs.
Albert Hoffman was a drugsmith famous for his creation of the recreational drug, lysergic acid diethylamide, or "LSD."
