A single-seated, twin-turbofan, straight-wing, subsonic ground attack aircraft developed by Fairchild Republic for the USAF. It was made in 1976, for close air support. Its main use is to destroy armored vehicles and ground units. Its body design or airframe was made around the GAU-8, (Gun, Automatic, Utility) which was designed by General Electric. The GAU-8 shoots 65 30mm rounds of American freedom per second. The airframe uses several security measures, such as 1200 pounds of titanium to keep the cockpit and aircraft systems safe.
