They have likely organised some kind of public outing or friendly get-together, only to be stood up/bailed on unexpectedly with no explanation. They will often try to find the reason for this, but is usually met with a defensive or passive aggressive response, or is just run away from by the flaker (sometimes both). Pronounced "Flake-ee"

Person 2: "Er...I was super busy sleeping at the time, um, sorry not sorry" *runs away*

Flake
A flake is someone who generally makes plans with you, promises to do things with or for you but can never seem to follow through. When confronted with their behavior they usually get defensive and run away.

Flaking
Flaking is what a Nikos does when he make plans with his friends, yet fails to show up last minute. This usually includes the Nikos leaving his friends on read and not telling them about changed plans beforehand.
"Yo, this Nikos is flaking on us today again! That's the sixth time this week, bruh. What an asshole."
Flake
Somebody who almost never follows through on their word. A true flake will tell you they'll "Totally come" to an event that you put endless effort into organizing up until the day before, and then the day of the said event they're not showing up nor answering your calls or texts. These types of people are the masterminds at taking advantage of your kindness. Their constant flaking out not only succeeds in blatantly using you for your known kindness. No. When you see people flake on you, it makes you feel bad about yourself wondering what you did to make them do something like that. Flaking out subtly says "My time is more important than your time" or, better yet, "Your time don't mean shit to me." Flakes are unneeded negative energy in your life. It is recommended that you keep contact with these selfish pricks to a bare minimum, if at all.
"I have zero tolerance for flakes. Nobody will take advantage of me like that."
"That flake bailed on me at the last minute!"

"Well I told my friend I couldn't come to his party because I thought I'd have work, but I might flake in and go."
