Derived from old time sailor saying “I don’t like the cut of your jib”. One who likes to flap their gums in obvious situations . Similar to a captain obvious but a little different. The saying was created by Russell Stefanick in North Battleford, Saskatchewan in 1991

One who runs his jib/mouth. A mouthpiece or know it all. Originated by a fine young man with a sweet mullet in the city of North Battleford saskatchewan. 1988 was the year. The term is making a big comeback as of late.
