a small newt that curls up into a spiral and is mistaken for a dragon most commonly, it lives in damp caves and glows in the dark but does come out of the caves and is not blind like it's cave cousins.

Because of it's glowing it's also been called a will~o~wisp
"I was splunking and I saw a will~o~wisp but it really was just one of those glowing newt thing"
