Last Airbender
Shitty acting.
Steve: Hey man, you finally came around to seeing The Matrix! how was it?
Mike: it was pretty cool. it was kinetic, atmospheric, and visually stunning. Too bad Keanu Reeves was so Last Airbender when it came to the acting.

The Last AIrbender is something we dont talk about
There is no The Last Airbender in ba sing se
The Last Airbender
The worst excuse for a movie to ever exist in history. Probably one of the worst directed, written, and produced "movie"s ever. It is a fucking pile of dog shit. It looks and feels like a home movie shot on a toy camera by an eight year old with down syndrome. M. Night Shyamalan does not deserve life. Especially since the source material (the T.V. show which the movie was based off of) was amazing. Somehow Shyamalan managed to fuck it up worse than anyone could have imagined.
person 1: "hey man, did you see The Last Airbender?"
person 2: "Unfortunately yes I did... and I would probably jump off a building with no parachute at the risk of ending my life to have those putrid two hours of my life back."

The last airbender
The last airbender left with all the money.
The last airbender is long gone now.
The Last Airbender
Directed by M. Night Shyamalan from "Lady in the Water" and "The Happening" fame, "The Last Airbender" will be a live-action fantasy movie premiering on July 2, 2010. It is based on the "Americanime" Nickelodeon series "Avatar: The Last Airbender".
The film stars Noah Ringer as Aang, the 12-year-old lone survivor of the almost-extinct race of Air Nomads in the fantasy, Asian-influenced world of "Avatar". Aang is rescued from an iceberg he and Appa, his giant flying bison pet, were encased in for a hundred years. He meets Katara, a Waterbender (played by Nicola Peltz), and her logical-thinking brother Sokka (played by Jackson Rathbone), at the South Pole, home of the Southern Water Tribe.
Katara and Sokka learn that their new friend Aang is the Avatar, the only person in the world who can bend the four elements--water, earth, fire, and air--and restore peace and harmony to the war-torn world they live in. However, they have to avoid the clutches of Zuko (played by Dev Patel), the banished prince of the Fire Nation (the country that started the war in the first place!) who seeks to capture the Avatar and restore his honor.
And so begins Aang's journey to learn how to bend and control the elements and save the world!
Noah Ringer, Nicola Peltz, Jackson Rathbone, and Dev Patel--the four actors who will play our four main characters in "The Last Airbender".
Apparently, some members of the fanbase of the original show are disappointed in the casting choices for the live-action movie, because three of the four actors are white, when all of the characters portrayed were Asian and/or Inuit-based. They have expressed their contempt in websites like LiveJournal or Twitter (look up "aang-aint-white" or "racebending.com" on Google), asking to change the casting lineup.
And to no avail, it seems, even though they and MANAA have tried so very hard.
The teaser trailer has been released on Entertainment Tonight, and the full trailer will be released on the previews for "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen".
From what I've seen on Youtube videos, the sets are the only thing about the movie that appeals to me; they look very nice! About the rest of it, not really. But hey, it'll come out summer of next year, so I--and maybe you, and lots of others--have lots of time to mull over whether to see the movie or not.

Hopefully, "The Last Airbender" won't end up as an epic fail bombshell like Dragonball: Evolution.
And if it does...well, consider us, and the loyal fanbase, screwed.
Especially the Kataang-vs.-Zutara war veterans. Poor, poor Zutarians.

Avatar : The Last Airbender
The best show ever broadcasted on Nickelodeon.
The show is often thought to be anime, because the art style, even though the art style is Korean. The show's story style is a mixture of asian cultres, mostly Chinese.
Basically, the story is about a world where people can "bend" the 4 elements which separates the land in 4 nations:
-Water Tribes
-Air Temples
-Earth Kingdom
-Fire Nation
They were all living together in harmony.
However, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked.
Only the Avatar, who can bend all 4 elements could have defeated the Fire Nation. But when the world needed him most,he vanished.
Hundred years have passed since.
Two 14 year old brother and sister,Sokka and Katara, have found a massive iceberg, which creates a giant ray of light, when Katara cracks it open.(The light signals Zuko,a Fire Nation warrior who is in a search to find the Avatar.)
Inside they find a boy with a flying bison. The boy turns out to be an airbender.
After the three returns to the South Water Tribe,Katara and Aang go penguin-sleding,stumbling into a Fire Navy ship.
Upon going into the ship Aang realizes he has been frozen in the iceberg for 100 years (the entire war)Later Aang aciddentally activates a booby trap, which signals Zuko.Later,Zuko comes to the South Water Tribe and asks Aang if he is the avatar.Since there is no other airbenders, the question is obviously yes.
Katara,Sokka and Aang's flying bison Appa manage to heelp Aang escape.

The rest of the show is about Katara and Sokka helping Aang to master all four elements to defeat the firelord.A lot of awesome characters are met,and some are added to the group.
TL;DR : The show is THE shit. It's one of the rare things that you can watch on Nick without getting a headache. It's totally worth watching and has a perfect storyline and a great mix between Romance,Action and Comedy.
Sadly it got ruined by a 2010 movie adaptation which includes horrible actors, horrible (the actors don't even match the characters)acting, whitewashing(the Fire Nation, who were the whitest in the movie, are indian, while Sokka and Katara ,who are a bit brown, are completely white). Also they missed an enormous ammount of Key-episodes,which are important to the later episodes (The sequel thankfully isn't going to be produced).Did I mention the production budget was 150 million dollars ,which is only 50 million less than Cameron's TITANIC!!!!!
"Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years passed and my brother and I discovered the new Avatar, an airbender named Aang. And although his airbending skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone. But I believe Aang can save the world."

Avatar: The Last Airbender
A cartoon series on Nickelodeon done in the style of a Korean animation (which is similar to anime-style) and centered in an ancient Asain-like world. The plot centers around a 12-year-old boy (the "Avatar") who is on a quest to master all four elements (air, water, earth, and fire) and save the world from a war started by the maleficent Fire Nation.
Ack, I'm missing Avatar: The Last Airbender, NOOOO!!
