Office knob

A term often used to describe someone who makes the office and work their entire personality. Often these people will come into the office 2 hours before their shift starts and leave 2 hours after it ends without overtime pay, often to attempt to impress their boss and co-workers.
Karen: I left the office at 7PM last night can I get a pay rise?
Manager: No stop being an office knob and work your contracted hours.

Office Knob

The co-worker that has to make a huge deal out of slightest task performed around the office, usually having nothing to do with actual work that the company does.
Mike: “I came in this morning and the water cooler leaked on the floor so I got a mop and a bucket and some paper towels and cleaned it up, then I set up cones and taped it off with caution tape.
Doug: “Jesus, how much water leaked out?
Mike: “go take a look”
Doug: “it’s like the size of a dinner plate”
Mike: “yeah, but somebody could slip on it”
Doug: “but it’s carpet…………fuckin office knob”
