Technology is ubiquitous, and as such is complimentary to life. Furthermore, balance is vital to our existence.
But when we fail to see the forest for the trees we succumb to social media for the evils it inspires. In extreme cases, the suggestive power of said media has been found to disrupt lives, polarize the peaceful, and silence individual voices in an altogether spiral down the spin zone. Untamed, the suggestive power of social media can all but take over one’s life... or at least kill their free time. Not to mention its birth of the toxic phenomenon we have come to know as “over-sharing.” That said, it is crucial to utilize technology in this day and age for its efficiencies, and its efficiencies alone. Some may call it “better living through science,” others may just recognize it as necessity in its purest form... Be that as it may, it is somewhere in the realm of disconnection that you yourself may break free from the establishment of social media to essentially restore a life of fulfillment. One so not inspired by digital hermitization meets glorified virtual insanity. Life is worth living! Go outside. Plant some trees. Get on your knees. Open your mind. Be not blind. Then you’ll truly be free. This is what it means to be Techlectic. After all, not everything in our future can possibly be PC.
