The Killing Tree
Side project of Rise Against lead vocalist Tim McIlrath and former Rise Against guitarist Todd Mohney. Their style was more hardcore than rise against, with the lyrics primarily being screamed and darker lyrics. They were active from 2000-2004, and released 2 EPs and one album. Bury Me at Makeout Creek (EP, 2000), The Romance of Helen Trent (full-length album, 2002), and We Sing Sin (EP, 2004).

A term used when someone does something you don’t like. Could also be used like “you killed my banana tree” when confronting someone who hurt your feelings. This term was first used in “Things Fall Apart” by Chinua Achebe. The main character okonkwo yells this at his family when he finds out his banana tree is dead
