I kept saying this is where I get out, but the driver proceeded to ubershoot my stop and let me off across the street.

When Uber hits you up on slack and gives you the play by play as he is troubleshooting a complex issue. Typically via Direct Message, there is also public ubershooting where Uber posts in a public channel the play by play of him looking into an issue.
